Brian Evans, CPA

I started my accounting career in the Houston Medical Center working for a group of Cardiologist performing general accounts payable functions and bank reconciliations. During this period I decided that accounting was my professional calling and decided to change my major at The University of Houston Downtown to a BBA in Accounting.

I then moved over to a land surveying firm in Houston performing full cycle accounting for a deeper knowledge of accounting.  After obtaining a thorough understanding of small business accounting functions I then moved on to a bond broker dealer firm performing full cycle accounting for two trading entities and three support entities.

During this time I learned how to account for a multi-entity business and its nuances.  I then graduated from The University of Houston Downtown and found an interest in auditing.

I found a new home working with a regional audit firm in Houston focused on auditing governmental and non-profit clients.  During this time I grew exponentially as an auditor and accountant.  It was during this venture I committed my career to becoming a Certified Public Accountant.

I then became interested in corporate structures of business and decided to take an internal audit position with a billion dollar printing conglomerate.  The experience and mentors that I had, during this time in my career, gave me multiple tools in determining how to properly account for corporate transactions and how to identify short comings in operations.

While in this position my wife and I purchased a boutique retail store in the Permian Basin area. Upon deciding to move back to Midland I took a position with another regional accounting firm performing audits on oil & gas service companies.  The experience I gained during these audits familiarized me with the industry specific transactions.

My accounting experience has taken me from small privately owned companies all the way up to billion dollar corporations.  Let my experience help you account for a better future.
